Woman unconscious after being brought down from MRR2 footbridge

KUALA LUMPUR – After being persuaded to come down from a footbridge at the city centre earlier this evening, a local woman was rushed to the hospital as she fell unconscious.

According to the Fire and Rescue Department, the 24-year-old woman was standing at an overpass near the Taman Melawati McDonald’s outlet, close to the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2).

Operations commander Muhamad Hasif Zakaria said his team managed to bring her to a safe space.

The victim fell unconscious shortly after Fire Department officials attended to her, he said in a statement.

Subsequently, she was handed over to medical personnel to be taken to a hospital for further treatment.

The operation included a team from the Wangsa Maju Fire Department, which consisted of five personnel and one fire engine, which arrived after receiving an emergency call at 8.48pm.
