Discount only applies to selected offences and must be paid at the site of the programme

KUALA LUMPUR – Traffic offences can be settled with up to a 50% discount at the Madani Rakyat Programme for the central zone at the Kuala Selangor Sports Complex this weekend, from February 23 to 25.

The discount, however, is only for selected offences, the Malaysia Madani Facebook page said in a post.

It is not applicable for 10 offences, including accidents, cases that are being heard in court, heavy vehicle-related offences, overtaking and using the emergency lane.

Other offences that cannot be discounted are running the red light, overtaking at double lines and exhaust modifications.

Summonses issued under Ops Selamat and other non-compoundable offences are also not liable for the summons reduction.

Payments can only be made at the site of the programme, subject to terms and conditions, the post said. – February 21, 2024
