Factory in Melaka’s Krubong goes up in flames

Cause of blaze at believed belacan factory still unknown

KUALA LUMPUR – A factory at the Krubong Industrial Park in Melaka went up in flames earlier this afternoon.

Several videos shared by a Facebook user in the “AKU ORANG KRUBONG Official” group show a factory engulfed in fire.

Thick black clouds could be seen rising from the building due to the fire.

The Fire and Rescue Department was also seen extinguishing the fire.

However, the cause of the blaze remains unknown.

Some netizens also shared visuals of the thick black smoke that could be seen even from afar.

It is believed the factory that caught fire manufactures belacan products. – December 31, 2023
