KUALA LUMPUR – The mother of 6-year-old murder victim Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin has shared yet another sorrowful social media post over the loss of her eldest child.
In an Instagram Story, Ismanira Abdul Manaf, 28, wrote a heartfelt message addressed to Zayn Rayyan, whose body was found by a stream near their residence in Damansara Damai’s Idaman Apartments last week.
“No one will ever know the strength of my love for you. After all, you’re the only one who knows what my heart sounds like from the inside,” the mother of two said in the post, which was uploaded earlier today.
The post also featured two pictures of Ismanira carrying an infant Zayn Rayyan, who was a non-verbal autistic child.
Yesterday, Ismanira’s post depicting her with her son during happier times garnered public sympathy, with netizens expressing their well wishes to her and her family amid the tragedy that befell them after Zayn Rayyan went missing on December 5.
Ismanira had previously apologised for her inability to respond to those conveying their messages of support, explaining that she and her husband Zaim Ikhwan Zahari, 28, were unable to reply to the messages as their phones remained in police possession.
The day after Zayn Rayyan’s body was found on December 6, police announced that the death is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, following the discovery of injuries on his neck and defensive wounds on his body.
Zayn Rayyan’s paternal grandfather, Zahari Mohd Reba, 55, had earlier pleaded with netizens to avoid airing speculations that could emotionally affect the family.
This came after Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan warned the public against commenting on the ongoing case. – December 11, 2023
