KUALA LUMPUR – Critically-acclaimed American rock band Incubus is bringing its highly anticipated Asia Tour to Malaysia next year.

On its Facebook page, the Californian band said it will be performing at the Mega Star Arena in Kuala Lumpur on April 27, 2024.

Ticket options for the event are available at varying price points, with choices ranging from RM249 to RM299. They are expected to go on sale via Hitman Solutions (www.hitmanlive.com) on December 7.

Malaysia was not initially on the list of Asian stops for Incubus.

Earlier this week, the band announced a four-city Asian tour which was expected to kick off in Jakarta on April 24.

The band was also slated to make stops in Manila and Singapore on April 25 and 29, before ending the tour in Tokyo on May 1, Bandwagon reported.

“But wait there’s more! 🖤can’t wait to see you in 2024!” the band said when announcing the Kuala Lumpur leg of the tour.

The band, celebrated for its hits such as Drive, Wish You Were Here, Pardon Me, Stellar, and Megalomaniac promises an evening filled with high-energy music.

Composed of band members Brandon Boyd, Mike Einziger, Ben Kenney, Jose Pasillas II, and DJ Chris Kilmore, Incubus’ upcoming show in Malaysia marks their fourth appearance in Kuala Lumpur.

Previously, the band had performed concerts in the country in 2004 and 2011, with its last appearance in Malaysia at KL Live in February 2018 during its “8” album tour.

Incubus’ Asia dates would come after a string of shows in the United States and Europe, where Ben Kenney was replaced by Tal Wiklenfeld and Nicole Row after the bassist underwent a brain tumour removal surgery. – December 6, 2023
