JOHOR BAHRU – Johor Darul Ta’zim continue to spread their wings in the sports world, with their latest venture into motorsports, beginning next year, with national motorcycle ace Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah.
According to a post on the Johor Southern Tigers’ Facebook page, the JDT Racing Team will make their debut in the Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) in the 2024 season.
“The JDT Racing Team will kick off the ARRC campaign with the aim of competing in the Superbike World Championship,” it said.
Apart from football, JDT are also involved in futsal, polo, boxing, and ice hockey.
“This latest effort is aimed at further developing the JDT brand globally and opening doors for more collaborations with international companies,” JDT said.
Hafizh Syahrin, a 29-year-old from Kuala Lumpur, is the first racer from Malaysia to compete in the MotoGP World Championship with his participation in 2018. – October 9, 2023
