TV3 Nightline’s Raymond Goh in critical condition after stroke

‘Man with golden voice' in ICU at Hospital Assunta, fighting for his life

KUALA LUMPUR – Seasoned news anchor Raymond Goh, known for his appearances on TV3’s Nightline broadcast, is reportedly in critical condition following a stroke. 

Goh’s close friend and student, Abdullah Pak Lah, revealed that the former broadcaster is currently admitted to Hospital Assunta, Petaling Jaya.

“May God ease all matters. (Goh is) of the nicest and kind-hearted souls I have ever known,” he said in a Facebook post.

Former senator Ras Adiba also posted on Facebook, sharing an image of herself as an anchor for Nightline in 2001 and urging the public to pray for Goh.

“I was the first batch of TV3’s news anchors alongside Raymond Goh, among others, and I can tell you, back then, anchoring the news was something else.”

“As I type this now, Raymond is in the ICU fighting for his life. May I ask that you say a prayer for him, please,” she said.

Goh lent his voice to various commercials, documentaries, and corporate videos, earning him the moniker “the man with the golden voice” by Malaysia Tatler.

Furthermore, he remains highly sought-after to host events and functions, some of which have included international occasions attended by dignitaries.

With his extensive industry experience spanning decades, Goh actively imparts his expertise through talks and continues to mentor individuals to enhance their vocal skills. – August 30, 2023
