PUTRAJAYA – Special number plates with the prefix and suffix ‘M’ will be available for public bidding between August 31 and September 4, said Transport Minister Anthony Loke.
This is in conjunction with the 66th National Day celebrations.
The public can place their bids through the Road Transport Department’s JPJeBid system, and results will be announced on September 5.
“The suffix and prefix ‘M’ was chosen as it means Malaysia Merdeka, which is in conjunction with this year’s National Day celebration.
“Any successful bids must be registered to a vehicle within 12 months of the issuance of the official letter.”
The bids start from RM300 (Running number), RM800 (Popular), RM3,000 (Attractive) and RM20,000 (Golden).
“The last release of FF generated RM34 million for the government so we hope that M_M can raise as much revenue as possible for the government.” said Loke.
The bidding method is subject to the terms and conditions on the JPJeBid system. – August 29, 2023
