[WATCH] Elmina plane crash: dashcam records horrific incident

Motorist narrowly escapes death as aircraft plummets only metres away

KUALA LUMPUR – A motorist who installed a dashboard camera in a vehicle narrowly escaped a tragic fate as the device captured the harrowing crash of the Beechcraft Model 390 near the Elmina township in Shah Alam earlier today.

The video was posted on Twitter by user @faisalmaps at 6.04pm today.

According to the Twitter user, the video was obtained from the dashcam user, who happens to be an Elmina resident.

In the edited video, the resident was seen driving towards the landmark Elmina Rainbow Bridge before the plane crashed mere metres away from the car at 2.49pm as the resident was driving at about 70kph.

The clip also showed the rear view of the car as the driver managed to steer away and stopped by the side of the road about 300m away from the crash site. 

The crash claimed 10 lives, including Pahang executive councillor Datuk Seri Johari Harun. – August 17, 2023
