Fire Dept deploys team of seven to scene, with cause of blaze still unknown

KUALA LUMPUR – A one-tonne lorry carrying batteries went up in flames near the Bukit Jelutong toll plaza this afternoon.

The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department said a team of seven was deployed to put out the fire involving the lorry.

A fire rescue tender and an emergency medical rescue services unit have been dispatched to the location.

So far, the cause of the fire is unknown.

Some road users also shared video clips of the incident on social media. – April 30, 2024
